Spring has well and truly arrived in Cornwall and April is one of those lovely months where the days are getting longer, and there’s that first feeling that summer is on its way.
If you’re visiting this month (or lucky enough to live here), here are a few lovely things happening around Cornwall this April.
24th-26th April
Porthleven Food Festival
One of Cornwalls' favourite foodie weekends returns to the harbour in Porthleven. Expect brilliant chef demonstrations, loads of street food, live music and plenty of Cornish producers to discover.
It’s a lovely one for wandering, eating something delicious and soaking up the harbour atmosphere.

6th-10th April
Bude Food Festival
Set around the castle in Bude, this relaxed food festival celebrates local producers, artisan makers and chefs.
Think fresh seafood, baked treats, Cornish spirits and cooking demonstrations, all with an Atlantic sea view!

Easter holidays
Easter at The Eden Project
The biomes always put on a lovely programme over the Easter holidays, with seasonal trails, activities and plenty happening throughout the gardens.
It’s a brilliant day out if you’re visiting Cornwall this spring!
We are also absolutely delighted that The St Ives. Co. products are now stocked in the Eden shop, so if you happen to be visiting, do keep an eye out for us there too!
It feels very special to be part of such an Iconic Cornish destination.

Rattler Fest- Healey's Cider Farm
A lively weekend celebrating Cornwalls famous cider with music, food and plenty of cider tasting.
Definitely one for the adults and always a fun atmosphere!
10th-12th April
English National Surfing Championships
Surf lovers should keep their eye on Fistral Beach in Newquay where the English National Surf Championships are expected to take place.
Some of the Country’s best surfers head to Cornwall to compete, It’s considered one of the main national surf competitions of the year.
It’s always a great excuse to wrap up warm with a hot drink and watch some seriously impressive Surfing!

Saturday 25th April
Trevithick Day Celebrations
A brilliant day of Cornish engineering heritage takes place in Camborne for Trevithick Day.
Expect steam engines, music, parades and plenty of Cornish pride filling the streets.
A Little Spring Reminder
And, of course, some of the best things to do in Cornwall in April are completely free!
Coastal walks, beach sunsets (Our Favourite), harbour coffees and those first evenings where you suddenly realise it’s still light at 7pm again!
