5 Places to Visit When The Sun Isn't Shining in St. Ives

5 places to visit when the weather may be slightly less beautiful but you’re still in ‘beautiful’ St. Ives...

It is always worth checking out what shows Kids r Us have on. They are a local performing theatre which is run by volunteers, many have been part of the team for many years. Tegen & Ainslie used to be involved when they were much younger!

A family favourite of ours is a short drive to The Minack Theatre. Set on one of the most beautiful Clift tops in Cornwall. Whether you go and watch one of their productions or just go and enjoy the scenery and have a coffee it is always a memorable day.

Whether it’s wind, rain or sun The St. Ives Surf School is the perfect hang out and certainly not just for children wanting to be the next Kelly skater! All the team at the stuff school will make sure you and your family have the best time, and a great laugh whilst learning one of the most popular sports in St. Ives.

Head to Little Palais for a dreamy afternoon, whether you book for one of their workshops or just squeeze in an afternoon of wine tasting and a sneaky few cocktails. If you weren’t lucky enough to get a table then I’d suggest go grabbing a bottle from their bottle shop and pop on their music playlist at home!

A great family attraction is Paradise Park, here you can enjoy feeding the penguins or head in to the inclosures with some of the most gorgeous birds. After having a walk through the park and seeing all the different animals you can then go into the ‘jungle barn’ which has demon drops and soft play!
