10 Small Cornish Businesses Open During Lockdown

It’s incredible watching how resilient small businesses have reacted to survive something as drastic as a lockdown. The imagination and creativity has been great. We have selected just 10 of many small Cornish businesses that you can support during lockdown

1

Academy & Co

Academy & Co was set up by a brother and sister in 2007. Academy is always our first stop in St. Ives when buying a birthday gift for a family member or looking for something new to wear to a special occasion. They have a huge selection of current clothing, accessories and homewear.

2

Little Palais

St. Ives has been long screaming out for a wine bar, and just as we get one the whole country goes in to lockdown. Lucky for us, Jess is delivering little bundles of joy during Covid 19, so you no longer have to make do with the rogue ‘Blossom Hill' at the bottom of your wine store. They also offer cocktails for delivery too, including espresso martinis and negronis!

3

Brewhouse

With the pubs being closed, it’s the perfect opportunity to play out a lifelong dream of being a pub landlord. We aren’t really sure what this entails but we can help you with your beer order. Brewhouse is a microbrewer based in St. Ives, and are currently offering FREE  local home deliveries and just £6.95 to the rest of the UK.

4

St. Ives Pasty Bakery

Order Via Instagram @stivespastybakery
We recently posted a 'How to make a pasty' on our blog however we know that making the pasty isn’t always the enjoyable bit. The true joy comes from the eating. If eating is more your thing than making and you live locally then you're in luck. St. Ives Pasty Bakery is selling frozen pasties to bake at home for an absolute steal. Starting from £1.50 and with a selection of flavours available, you can send them a message on Facebook or instagram to preorder for collection.

5

Raw Choc Pie

Isolation isn’t easy, but as Debby from Raw Chocolate Pie says chocolate does make you happy. There is currently 20% off the Raw Chocolate Pie website so there has never been a better time to get your happy chocolate fix.
